Support
rate is an app where you rate anything out of five stars — films, music, food, places, people — and see how your taste lines up with your people. Something's wrong, or you have a question? Email [email protected] and a person will answer.
Your account
Signing in
Continue with Apple, or type your phone number and the 6-digit code we text you — there's no password. Accounts made before October 2026 with a handle and a password can still sign in that way (have a handle? sign in), and are asked once to add a number so they can always get back in.
I changed my number, or I can't get in
Once you're in: your page → the gear → signing in → your number → change. If you can't get in at all, email [email protected] from anywhere and tell us your handle — we'll get you back in.
Change my photo
Your page → the gear, then tap your photo.
Make my account private
Your page → the gear → who sees what you rate. A private account's ratings, reviews and read show only to the people you approve; anyone can still find your name and photo and ask to follow you.
Delete my account
Your page → the gear → delete account, then type your handle to confirm (if you signed in with Apple, Apple asks you to confirm once more). Your account, everything you posted, your photo, your oracle reads and conversations, and your login are removed immediately. There's no waiting period and no way back.
Your ratings
Change or delete a rating
Find the thing again — from your page, the feed, or rate anything (the + in the bar) — and tap new stars to change it, or delete rating under your stars to remove it and its line.
Who can see my ratings?
Everyone on rate, by default — that's what makes the feed and the match work — or only the people you approve, if your account is private. The privacy policy says exactly what's public and what isn't.
Notifications
rate tells you when someone replies to, reacts to or mentions what you said, when someone follows you or asks to, when a friend joins from your invite, and once a day what your people rated. Turn them on or off from your page → the gear → notifications, or in your iPhone's Settings under rate.
Location
rate uses your location only while you use the app, for near me and for plans near you. Your page → the gear → location shows what it's allowed to do and has its own off switch.
The oracle
The oracle is rate's AI. Ten ratings in, it writes your read — how your taste works — and rewrites it as you rate more. Ask it anything: what to watch, where to eat near you, who'd be up for a plan. Its answers are written by an AI model from your ratings and lines, and can be wrong; the privacy policy says what is sent and to whom.
Finding friends and invites
Find friends checks your contacts' phone numbers — scrambled on your phone first, never kept — to show who's already on rate. Your invite link is rate.woorlds.io/@yourhandle: someone who opens it can rate a few of your things and see how much you have in common.
Something else
A card that won't load, a wrong picture on a thing, an app that feels slow — tell us: [email protected]. Say which iPhone and what you were doing; a screenshot helps.
